Twice fired porcelain with Holocene Glacial Till glaze. Fired once in high fire soda kiln, then a second time in a high fire reduction kiln. The holocene glacial till was collected from Silver Bay, Sitka, Alaska.
Marine silt was recovered from a commercial fishing boat anchor pulled up in Lituya Bay, Alaska. Lituya was the site of a massive landslide and mega-tsnunami in 1958.
All artwork included in the Everyday Alchemy exhibition will remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. Sold artwork will begin being shipped out on September 3, 2024. Thank you for your patience.
